Studio Lumen takes advantage of the most recent digital tools for the simulation and analysis of existing and proposed conditions in order to balance the right amount of daylight with the client's programmatic needs and the project's material palette.
Sustainability Standards
In our opinion, sustainable design seeks to find ways to guarantee the long-term prosperity of all of us who inhabit the built environment. We actively assist in and promote the pursuit of standards such as LEED, the Living Building Challenge, the Green Building Alliance, and the WELL Building Standard as they relate to lighting for individual health and well-being, as well as the sustainability of the product supply chain and life cycle.
Custom Luminaire Design
Whether at the scale of a unique luminaire, or of an installation, we are actively involved in the concept development and prototyping of bespoke lighting, coordinating mock-ups in collaboration with artists and installers.
At the same time, we ensure the ethical sourcing of materials and optimize long-term success of the lighting application for the Client’s desired vision.
